Salvage

There's an utter mess scattered over Washed Up Beach today, and a few people who seem to be trying to clean it up. Since the weather in the Nexus is always warm enough to go swimming (except when it isn't) there's also one family already who arrived with a picnic basket and found the beach just isn't suitable for that today. Care to have a look?

(This continues just after this scene. Feel free to talk to anyone there if you want, or just walk up and start poking around. I just ask that no one successfully walk off with any critical parts as there are plans to put that back together. XD )

[Dee giggles] Good. I'll do my best to be a good -- fish-herder, I suppose.

*He nods and looks for a good spot to catch them.*

[Dee has a moment where she wants to protest -- she thought they were waiting until it was warmer? -- but then sighs and gets up anyway. He didn't seem super-interested in the sand castle, and as long as she doesn't have to wade in too deep. . .]

*He gets a bit distracted at the thought of fish. It's the only joy he had for a very long time.*

[Dee can't blame him -- she doesn't know much about the Lord of the Rings, just bits here and there she's picked up living with Marty and Doc, but she's learned enough to know Gollum had a rough life. She'll let him take his joy where he can]

*Which he does, and rather well.*

[Dee does what she can to help him -- mostly in the form of getting in the way of any fish who try to escape. She doesn't want to splash around too much and frighten them off. She gets pretty wet and cold, but it's nice to see him so cheerful]

*Once he's caught a couple he's willing to go back to the sand castle again, so it's not too bad.*

[Dee is only too happy to head back herself, even if it means her legs are going to be covered with sand for days -- or, at least, until the next time she transforms] All good?

[Dee grins] You're welcome! [she goes back to decorating the castle, sticking various fun-looking rocks into the side]

*He'll just be having his fish, then.*

[Dee keeps at it, searching for cool shells or feathers on the sand as Gollum has his fish. She tries not to look, but the smell is hard to ignore. One of the downsides of a human body -- but a car would both scare Gollum and be even WORSE on the beach.]

*Eventually he finishes and goes back to watching her. He doesn't interfere at least?*

[Dee sticks a nice seagull feather into the top of her tower, then puts some shells around it.] You wanna add anything?

All I have isss boneses, you won't want them.

[dee_lorean81]

[Dee looks at the castle] Well -- you could scatter them around the front. Make believe there was a big battle here.

*He thinks about this a moment, then nods and starts to do so.*

[Dee grins and continues decorating, looking for bits of pointy sticks that could stand in for spears and putting them near the bones to suggest stabbings]

*Smeagol claps his skinny hands. He is having fun!*

[Dee giggles and finds some more rocks, which she scatters around to represent rocks thrown from the top of the building] A great battle was fought here!

Great and terrible, yesss!

And the castle defenders were valiant, raining death upon the enemy! [throws some sand in the air to demonstrate]

[Dee looks at the bones] For the castle, anyway. Don't think these guys fared so well.
