I'll endarken them all. Their Candles went out, darkness is the least they deserve.

I remember thinking that we could sell people their hearts' desires, that everyone would profit and all would be well. Then the Bazaar cast aside those of Axile, and there was rage at the daughters of the sand, and I knew myself a scapegoat. Finally they took me, the God-Eaters, Veils gave me up for a falsity of freedom in the obsidian jungle of knives and fangs. I look upon my wounded kingdom and o how my wrath fills me. *Back to ranting for a bit, it seems.*

[And yup, he's off on a rant again -- not that Dee can blame him, given what he rants about] Yeah, trying to deal in heart's desires doesn't usually go well. . . So you got blamed for everybody else's stupid shit and suffered the ultimate price. In a place where death isn't permanent. Did nobody consider that, maybe, doing what they did would lead to one very angry -- person -- looking for a lot of revenge?

Yeah. . .trying to get his heart's desire is what landed Marty in Arcadia, from what he's said. He was promised with getting to be a rich rock star, and -- well, I guess the guy kind of delivered. . . [she shakes her head] The flesh is weak, but the spirit is very willing and super pissed off, to change up a common saying.

Just as the First City was fair, but not right. We gave the poor bastard what he asked for, and that it was not what he wanted? The Bazaar barely noticed. I suspect that trying to fix things would have only made them worse, mind. Then the Second City was a trap, and the prince of that people is still in pain today. The damnable Priest-Kings of the Third are beast folk in a far tomb-colony, crying out their sins in Parabola . . . five cities stolen now and none with truly happy endings, although one admits the Fourth made it through almost well.

[she makes some faces at the recounting of the history of the fallen cities] Yeah, with the track record on display here? I bet fixing things would have just caused more chaos. . . You'd think the Bazaar would look at all this and get the hint that some shit just doesn't end well.

The Bazaar is desperate and blind to the impossibility of the task before it. Soon things will end. One way or the other, it will fail. Even aside from me and my contagious appetites, Iron is sabotaging it and most of the other Masters do not care. Perhaps Iron may be spared the worst of the pain that my wrath brings? Perhaps. If his sabotages are enough help to me.

As well as delaying the Bazaar. The longer it must stay in the Neath the greater the chance that things go entirely wrong for it.

It does, but I would rather that I be the one to prove it. In any case, it gets more upset the longer it's trapped there trying to fix things. It deserves all the sorrow it can hold and more.

It trapped itself, yes, but do you really think it would be safe if it returned without a message? It is a Messenger, and we can’t be having Undelivery Of Words. Of course that is the consequences, but few would wish to face them. So trapped it is, more or less.
