Time sighs. "Look, the point I'm trying to get at is that, while dead might be better than a current situation, being dead doesn't get better. And if you stick it out, most of the time being alive can get better. Or at least better than being dead."

Time rolls his eyes at that. "This place being weird is an exception, not the rule." He grumbles that there needs to be a new word for being dead but not staying that way, because really dead means permanent.

"I meant that this place being weird about death is an exception to general rules about death. If you mean this place being weird, yeah, it always is. If you mean death...
