Regulus nods. "That seems to be the case. I've heard the first group of hatchlings were made, somehow, in the same way as the older ones, and all the remaining ones contributed in casting the necessary spells. Rydia, the green haired woman who lives in their village, was also involved, since one of the older Mages died at an inopportune time and someone had to take his place." He's not sure if it took all of them due to some complexity of the spells involved, or just because they all wanted to share.
"Well, some of the spells are very different, but others are nearly the same - the Float spell, for example, when compared to a hover charm. The difference in that case is that in my world most magic involves wand use and an incantation. Wandless and nonvocal magic are both considered very difficult, and some spells are almost impossible that way. Gaian and Terran magic are both meant to be used without incantations or wands. They're easier, but... there's something almost instinctive about the casting. They'd be dreadfully hard to teach anyone else without a method of learning that can actually 'teach' the feel of the spell to someone's subconscious mind."
