She ducks her head at his first remark: there's nothing in Telrim's view of humans that can refute his suspicion.
"What's the point of the house system, anyway?" she wonders aloud. "From what you've said, you're such a small population, and you're pretty isolated from most people. It doesn't seem like you can afford major divisions."
She pauses, then adds, "Are you sure you can't go back? Even if the Dark Lord is dead?"
